In Kryvyi Rih, a group of drug dealers who were part of the “Dvadtsiativski” gang were detained

Four drug dealers who were part of an organized criminal group were detained in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. This is reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office, writes UNN

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the organizer and three members of the criminal group were arrested and informed of suspicion, who are accused of committing crimes in the field of illegal drug trafficking, as well as an attempt to bribe law enforcement officials to cover up their activities (part 2 of article 307, part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects, acting in accordance with the assigned roles, purchased large quantities of PVP and methamphetamine, which were sold on the territory of the city of Kryvyi Rih. Drugs were stored in rented apartments, and orders were accepted by phone numbers. Every month, illegal activities brought drug dealers almost 1 million hryvnias of profit,

In addition, an attempt by members of the group to bribe the head of the police department and a senior investigator for a “kickback” of 10 percent of the profits for “crushing” their illegal activities was documented.

The police officers immediately filed a complaint about an attempt to provide them with an illegal benefit to the law enforcement agencies and subsequently acted under their control.

Three members of the group were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during the transfer of funds to the police.

During the searches of the residences and cars of the suspects, law enforcement officers seized almost 100 slip-packs with drugs, mobile phones, ammunition, drafts, cash in the amount of 10,000 US dollars.

Currently, the question of the suspect’s choice of preventive measures in the form of detention is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk Region under the operational support of the Dnipropetrovsk Department of the Internal Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

We will remind you that in 2022-2023, a criminal organization, which included several organized groups, operated on the territory of the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. They were engaged in the illegal production and storage of psychotropic substances, which were sold in all regions of Ukraine.
