Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation exposed a serviceman who tried to evade duty by offering 4,000 US dollars to an official of an educational center in Kirovohrad Oblast.
As reported in the press center of the DBR, the soldier, being on training in the training platoon, decided to voluntarily leave the unit. When he couldn’t get through security, he tried to negotiate with the deputy battalion commander about “exit assistance.”
The official immediately informed the law enforcement officers, after which the soldier was detained while handing over the first part of the bribe.
The perpetrator was notified of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 369, Part 2 of Art. 15 and Part 4 of Art. 409 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — giving an illegal benefit to an official and attempting to evade military service by deception under martial law.
Currently, the question of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
