It is reported that such a decision, after consultation with the military, law enforcement officers, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, was approved by the Kyiv City Defense Council on March 18.
Kyiv authorities report that the rules of movement will be as follows:
- During air alarm, transport stops near the shelter along the traffic route
- Passengers can leave the salon as desired
- Drivers report the possibility of further movement
- After landing, the transport continues to move the route.
The KSCA emphasized that the Kiev Metro will still operate in the same mode as it worked: the movement of trains by the ground part of the subway during the announcement of air anxiety will remain limited.
Earlier, despite the request of Kyivans, the city authorities refused to cancel the ban on public transport movement in Kiev during air alarm.
In May 2023, the Kiev authorities changed the rules of work of land public transport during air alarm – since then it must bring passengers to the nearest shelter.
