In the capital, law enforcement officers detained a group that was engaged in the sale of counterfeit currency. The criminals offered Dollars, Euro and Hryvnia at the price of 30-70% of their true value.

The detention of one of the participants took place in Kiev during the transfer of another batch of counterfeit money. For $ 30,000, the attacker received over UAH 480,000.
On the same day, the operatives detained his accomplice, who was also involved in the organization of illegal business.
The organizers of the scheme were residents of Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions. They searched for customers through the so -called black radio, offering a 500 UAH of 2011 in the assortment of 500 UAH for 70% of the real cost, as well as US dollars and euros for 60%.
Law enforcement officers documented several facts of the sale of counterfeit currency, which confirms the systemic nature of criminal activity.
During the searches, the suspects seized counterfeit money for almost UAH 2.3 million in terms, clichés for the manufacture of counterfeits, about twenty mobile phones, rough records, car and other material evidence.
Two members of the group have already reported suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is the storage, purchase, transportation and sale of illegally manufactured foreign currency committed by an organized group in a particularly large amount.
For such actions, the suspect faces up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
