In Kharkiv removed stands with the palms of Russian actors

In Kharkiv in the central park of Shevchenko removed stands with prints of palms of honorary guests of the festival “Kharkiv lilac”. They had prints from actors and figures from the film community from different countries, including Russia.

This was reported by the NGO “Decolonization. Ukraine”.

“In Kharkiv, in Shevchenko’s garden, they removed the alley of honorary guests of the Kharkiv Lilac Film Festival, which took place from 2009 to 2013. There was a bunch of Russians names“, – the message reads.

The spokesman of the specialized utility company “Kharkivzelenbud” Andriy Kravchenko in a comment “Ukrinform” said that the stands were removed about a month ago for repair work. However, they will not return the stands with prints of the palms of artists who support the war in Ukraine.

FKharkiv lilac short-range cinema has been held in Kharkiv since 2009 for five consecutive years. His honorary president was the French actress Milen Demezho. Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion, some of the stands with Russian names have been hanged.
