The Hungarian diplomat remembered how the Hungarian state lost its colonies after the First World War, and called it an example for Ukraine.

For example, on Friday, Hungary’s Deputy Foreign Minister Levente Magyar was visiting France, where he in particular gave a historical lecture in Putin’s style for students of the Paris Institute of Political Research, Telex writes.
At the end of the lecture, the Hungarian diplomat mentioned the Trianon Peace Agreement, according to which, after the First World War, the Hungarian Kingdom had to recognize new borders with the neighboring countries-Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia and Austria. Hungary has lost two-thirds of those territories that were subordinated to it during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, although the ethnic Hungarians themselves have never made a majority except for certain areas of compact residence.
Talking about the Trianon Agreement, Levente Magyar expressed his conviction that Ukraine should give the Russians five of its regions for the sake of a peace agreement in the same way as after the First World War, Hungary gave two -thirds of the territories previously subordinate to its territories. According to him, this is better than risking the loss of the whole state.
“Was it painful? Of course, what was painful. Now Ukraine should give a fifth of its territory. I do not want to indicate Ukraine what to do, I only say that, coming from our experience, peace is sometimes painful. – said the deputy head of the Foreign Ministry of Hungary.
Georgy Tykhy, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, responded to this spacing of the Hungarian diplomat.
“Hungary can exchange its land or sovereignty if he wants. Ukraine does not want it, and she does not need advice,” he wrote on his social media page.
Hungary: The latest newsAs UNIAN wrote, in recent days the already difficult relations of Ukraine and Hungary are experiencing another scandal. This week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Hungarian reconnaissance drones were scratched in Transcarpathia. The Ukrainian leader called it very dangerous actions.
The reaction of the Hungarian side was quite rough and emotional. Prime Minister Viktor Orban, in particular, complained of “persecution” by Zelensky.
