Details: Answering the question about Trump’s ability to quickly end the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the head of the German Ministry of Defense noted that first of all we should talk about “ceasefire, and then about sustainable peace for Ukraine, which means that Ukraine needs security guarantees from all other countries.” .

If such a scenario is not fulfilled, the probability of a repeated attack by Russia “in just a few years” is very high, and it is precisely the solution of this problem that Europe will have to face “in the coming months and years”, he warned.

Pistorius also added that he did not like the idea of public discussions of strategy “for any negotiations towards a ceasefire or even beyond”.

“It’s not something we should discuss publicly, because otherwise I may send an email to Vladimir Putin to inform him of our plans,” he said.

It will be recalled that on January 22, Donald Trump said that if an “agreement” on ending the war in Ukraine is not concluded in the near future, he will have no other choice but to “impose high taxes, tariffs and sanctions on everything that Russia sells to the United States and other countries concerned”.

On the first day of his presidency, Trump said that Putin was destroying Russia without ending the war.

Later, he announced that he was ready to consider increasing sanctions against Russia if it did not agree to negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine.
