The launch of new tokens took place after the USDT issuer was forced to leave the European market because of the mica rules for cryptocurrency regulation.
Although Tether had dominated the stablcoin sector, competitors from Stasis, Eurc from Circle and Eurcv from Société Générale – took part in the stablcoin sector.
Binance and Kraken cryptocurrencies are already stopping USDT support within the Eurozone.
The Oobit’s payment application integrates new Stablr steiblcoins: Eurr (tied to euro) and USDR (tied to the US dollar). A new Tether Hadron tokenization platform will be involved for USDR.
“By introducing adjustable steiblcoins, we make cryptocurrencies a basic payment instrument,” CEO Oobit Amram Adar said.
Users are promised 5% cashback when paying with EURR or USDR as an incentive to actively use new assets.
Recall that in March 2024, the OKX exchange removed trade couples from USDT for users from the European economic zone.
