On a difficult track, on which several participants fell, Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot finished first. The athlete recorded her first personal victory in the current season. Before that, Lou and her partners won two relays in Östersund.
The French athlete confidently showed herself in the sprint and made a difference from the second place by 15.3 seconds.
The top three winners on the podium were Norwegian Maren Kirkeide from Norway and Anna Magnusson from Sweden.
The performance of Ukrainian biathletes was frankly disappointing. Only Khrystyna Dmytrenko finished in the qualifying zone and made it to the pursuit race – 36th position.
Four other sportswomen from Ukraine were at the bottom of the protocol: Oleksandra Merkushina – 69th, Anastasia Merkushina – 71st, Darina Chalyk – 94th, Liliya Steblina – 97th.
