“At 2:12 p.m. due to a system failure in the network in the region, 90% of subscribers were cut off,” the message reads.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that due to Russian shelling of the energy infrastructure on the morning of December 5, consumers in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odesa regions were left without electricity.
The department indicated that in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, and (partly) Kirovohrad regions, emergency shutdowns are forcibly applied.
Since the beginning of autumn, the Russian military has intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season. As a result of the attacks, emergency power outages occur. In Ukraine, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of Russian shelling, hourly blackout schedules and capacity limitation schedules are used for industrial consumers and businesses.
