According to the investigation, in September 2023 the accused laid a homemade explosive device under the railway track in the Chernivtsi region. As a result of the explosion, 15 wagons of the freight train came off the rails.
In February 2024, in the territory of Vinnytsia region, the foreigner re -sabotage – remotely initiated the explosion of another homemade explosive device, causing damage to the rail and sleepers. Then it led to the stop of the railway movement.
The total amount of losses caused by JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is over almost UAH 2 million.
The accused is already in custody, the case has been sent to court.
