“At the moment, applications are being accepted. The amount reserved for the program is 500,000 hryvnias for this year,” said Dvornik.
According to him, applications have been accepted since the beginning of the year, and the first compensations are expected from mid-February. The program provides compensation for the costs of purchasing generators, inverters with batteries, as well as equipment to ensure the operation of rooftop boiler rooms, lighting of common areas, water and heat pumps in the event of a blackout.
“Currently, as of January 21, we are still accepting applications because there is a set list of documents that are provided to us. Then, if the documents are in order, we bring it to the executive committee and they make a decision on reimbursement of the cost of backup power sources, I think we will already receive the first compensations for those who applied,” said Dvornik.
Condominiums interested in participating can apply by submitting a complete package of required documents. The program does not apply to private households, because they are subject to government preferential lending programs and initiatives of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
We will remind
Apartment buildings in Brovary can more than once join the city program of partial compensation for the purchase of electric generators. As the head of the Association of co-owners of the apartment building “Kyivska, 261-A” Hrystyna Makogon said in a comment UNNthey received compensation for the first time at the end of 2022. After that, they bought another generator and prepared a package of documents for the city council to receive another compensation.
Let’s add
UNN I have already written about the advantages and disadvantages of various autonomous energy supply systems, their cost and the amount of compensation from city budgets for their purchase within the framework of relevant programs that operate successfully not only in regional centers, but also in small towns.
In particular, in Brovary, almost two million hryvnias have been allocated for these purposes since the end of 2022.
“The relevant program has been in effect in our city since the end of 2022, and about thirty brewery condominiums and housing cooperatives (housing and building cooperative – ed.) have already joined it, some repeatedly. The city allocated almost two million hryvnias for compensation. In order to receive compensation for the installed generator, the management of the condominium or residential complex must apply to the city’s Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Transport the amount of compensation and makes a decision during the meeting of the executive committee,” said the mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko in the summer of last year.
