In Britain created a futuristic drone baby raptor without explosives

The British startup London Defense R&D has introduced a new Baby Raptor interceptor, which has a futuristic design and is intended for cheap interception of hostile drones. The Defense Blog writes about it.

The company notes that Baby Raptor is designed for a fully autonomous take -off, detection and destruction of goals without participationand operator.

“When the defense becomes too expensive, there are some difficulties. Baby Raptor is an effective, accessible and scaled shield against drone threats,” said the founder of the startup Ajkin Guchl.

He also noted that the drone can track goals that move at a speed of more than 250 km/h. It uses a complex of sensors that contains two daylight chambers, thermal imaging chamber and inertial/auxiliary sensors. All this is combined with artificial intelligence software for finding, detecting, tracking and destroying.

In this case, the drone does not have explosives on board, it destroys the target in a “kinetic way”. Simply put, it crashes into a target to knock it down. Aykin Guchlu stated that this approach increases safety.

The drone production method is optimized under the industrial 3D printers of HP, the housing is printed within one cycle and is collected in less than an hour. This approach enables quickly to unfold local production and promptly restore inventories directly in the war zone.

Earlier it was reported that in the Czech Republic they created a modular factory that produces UAVs in the area of hostilities. It is also relied on 3D printers for UAV buildings. This system allows you to produce three varieties of drones.
