Details: The Abkhaz Foreign Ministry has published a statement on the events in the self-proclaimed republic. According to the agency’s assessment, there was an attempted coup d’état in Abkhazia on November 15:

- On November 15 – the day of the start of large-scale actions in Sukhum – the opposition offered the authorities two options:
- or the president, vice-president and prime minister resign, and the duties of the president until the elections are performed by the speaker of the parliament, Lasha Ashuba;
- or the president, vice-president and prime minister resign, but before that the president appoints a compromise figure as prime minister to carry out the duties of the president.
