Another issue is that during 2025, a lot of emphasis in this context has changed. The USA has turned from a strategic partner of Ukraine into a hybrid ally of Russia. This is an extremely unpleasant transformation, and we should be aware of it.
The European Union continues to perceive Ukraine as a country worth doing business with, but I am unfortunately sure that the “Mindych affair” will seriously undermine confidence in the Ukrainian leadership. And I will not be surprised if additional requirements suddenly appear for a loan of 90 billion.
We need to prepare to be more active. We need to mobilize internal reserves and still strengthen internal unity and internal stability. Russia will not disengage from Ukraine, this should be understood by the maximum number of people.
And we have to learn to clearly define our own goals. We have difficult problems with many of our neighbors. Our good neighborliness does not work as a tool. And this, in my opinion, is extremely bad. We need to find options for effective conversations with our partners and find a common language with them. Otherwise, we will be very sad. We should not bend before our partners and neighbors, but we should be adequate.
