This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
It is noted that the cancellation of the mandatory license for the import and export of lithium-ion batteries will make it possible to quickly import electricity storage equipment to Ukraine and ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure and business facilities.
According to the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine, mandatory licensing of such batteries previously complicated their supply and reduced the ability of businesses, hospitals and households to provide themselves with electricity during blackouts.
In addition, the agency noted that in 2026, one of the state’s priorities is the development of distributed generation and energy storage systems. This is necessary in order to reduce the effects of attacks on the power system and increase its resilience.
