The State Bureau of Investigation announced that it had detained a law enforcement officer from the Chernivtsi region who was helping conscripts illegally cross the border with Romania.

Details: The perpetrator was detained on September 15 during the transfer of funds from one of those who wanted to leave the country.

According to “Ukrainian Pravda” sources in the law enforcement agencies, the border guard was detained.

He was informed of suspicion of illegal transportation of persons across the state border (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail.

“The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 9 years,” the SBI concluded.
