Promoter Frank Warren commented on the fact that heavyweight Tyson Fury announced his retirement after two defeats by Oleksandr Usyk.
“If that’s what he wants to do, then he should do it. He earned a lot of money, he achieved a lot and after discussing with his family he made a decision. He had a fantastic career. Let him enjoy now.”
“I didn’t expect it, but this is his life. He was disappointed with the result of the fight with Usyk, but it is impossible to change it.”
“Tyson can be proud of what he has achieved in his career, especially after his second comeback. So I’ll just tell him one thing: enjoy life,” Warren said.
