“Nicolo Fagioli talked about the reasons for betting on sports”, — write: sport.ua
“I started betting big when I was in the U23s. Then I started betting more than what was considered normal. The truth is, I didn’t even do it for the money. I didn’t need them. I bet for the adrenaline and that was the main problem.
On my worst days, I could spend 12 or 13 hours staring at a phone screen, and they would fly by like a couple of hours. I just didn’t understand what was going on. I felt like I was stuck in this bubble and couldn’t see anything outside of it. People asked me questions, I answered, but after an hour I realized that I didn’t remember anything, that I don’t even know what they told me,” said the Italian.
Fagioli was banned for 7 months last October for betting on football matches. Another 5 months of suspension were replaced by mandatory therapy lasting at least six months. On May 20, his suspension expired and he returned to the field.
The people of Turin made a film called “Fragile” dedicated to the Fagioli problem. Amazon Prime will release it on November 26.
