On September 25, on Thursday, the NATO Air Force has announced the interception of five Russian military aircraft with two Hungarian Gripen fighters. This information was provided by a NATO Air Force spokesman.
Military allies reported that Russian Su-30, Su-35 and three Mig-31 fighters flew over the Baltic Sea near Latvia airspace. Hungarian Gripen fighters from the Lithuanian Air Base were raised to intercept Russian aircraft.
– Hungary confirms its dedication to the Alliance, protecting and ensuring the safety of the Baltic countries and their eastern flank, – the statement reads.
In addition, the press service said that on September 24, in the identification zone of Alaska Air Defense, four Russian military aircraft were found, which was accompanied by US aviation.
