According to Chernohova, in 2025 money for the initiative will be provided by the fall.
In early April, the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky reported that the Czech Republic had received additional funding from Canada, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands to implement the project. The Minister of Defense added that other countries were joining the initiative, mentioning bilateral talks with Belgium, who also promised to participate.
When asked if Ukraine will deliver more ammunition this year than the past, Chernokhov replied that he did not want to “be limited to any numbers”.
“We will deliver as many ammunition as we can get around the world. And we still have enough resources, at the moment these resources are about one and a half million (ammunition. – Ed.), ” – said the official.
She noted that the donors depends on whether the Czech Republic could raise enough money to pay the initiative and deliver ammunition to Ukraine as soon as possible.
Earlier it was reported that most EU Member States will support the allocation of funds for the purchase of artillery shells of the Armed Forces. This will provide two -thirds of Ukrainian needs.
The Netherlands also plan to support the Czech initiative for the purchase of shells for the Armed Forces in 2025, another 271 million euros will be allocated.
