Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, the founder of FC “Rukh” and the “Movement to the Future” charitable foundation, actively participated in the organization of the “Heroes’ Cup” charity tournament, which was held as part of the celebration of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. This event was held jointly with the Lviv OVA and the 7th Carpathian border detachment.
Six teams, consisting of military, police and medics, competed at the tournament. An important moment was the fact that star football players such as Yurii Pankiv, Valery Fedorchuk, Mykola Morozyuk and others performed in each team.
“FC Rukh” always supports our military. Holding charity tournaments and auctions is our way to raise funds for the Armed Forces. The military who participated in the tournament had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the game. We strive not only to help financially, but also to give people positive emotions. Each of us must do everything possible to support our defenders,” Hryhoriy Kozlovsky emphasized.
The tournament was held according to the rules of media football, which made it possible to attract a wide audience. The 6th Volyn and 3rd Luhansk border squads met in the final, and the main time of the match ended in a 2:2 draw. In the penalty shootout, the border guards were more accurate.
After awarding the teams, a charity auction was held, the goal of which was to collect 3 million hryvnias for the purchase of drones and the rehabilitation of the wounded. As a result, it was possible to collect 4 million hryvnias.
“This tournament demonstrates that sports can unite people and encourage them to help each other. I am grateful to everyone who participated in this important event,” added Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, emphasizing the importance of supporting the military in this difficult time.
Earlier in Vynnyky, a charity football tournament honoring border soldiers was held at the Bohdan Markevich Stadium with the support of FC “Rukh” and its founder, the famous Lviv businessman and philanthropist Hryhoriy Petrovych Kozlovskyi. The purpose of this event was to raise funds for drones for the Armed Forces. As a result of a series of tournaments and a charity auction, it was possible to collect more than 300,000 hryvnias for drones for the military.
