The Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich told this in the Podcast of the Center for Economic Strategy.

She said that every Ukrainian can count his future pension as of the Pension Calculator Service, and the numbers in the current solidarity system may not look very encouraging.

“But today we design as a project when there are several components: both solidarity pension system, which should cover 40% of my life earnings, and a cumulative pension system, which gives a minimum of 20%, and if voluntarily, in many cases it is 80% of earnings,” she said.

Zholnovich noted that the average life of each person is at first, but by the mature age, people already earn more. This allows you to talk about more guarantees that can be provided to pensioners.

“Contributions to the solidarity system are played by several roles: the first is the maintenance of our parents and grandparents, those people who have invested in our economy, our lives and upbringing, and today we expect that we will support them as a society in old age,” the minister said.

The second component, she said, involves the formation of pension rights through their own contribution and insurance experience in order for future generations to understand the same way in which way to support pensioners.
