How many boiler plants operate in Ukraine: figures

In Ukraine, the number of consumers connected to heat supply is increasing, although it is not yet possible to start the heating season in some frontline communities. In Ukraine, the number of consumers connected to heat supply is increasing, although it is not yet possible to start the heating season in some frontline communities.

This was announced by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development on its Facebook page.

The situation in the regions:

– Vinnytsia region: All communities are provided with heat, social institutions are equipped with generators and fuel. Points of Invincibility are working.

– Volyn region: Heat reaches all residential buildings, educational institutions, health care and social sphere. 863 boiler houses are working, emergency teams have been created, infrastructure facilities are equipped with generators.
– Dnipropetrovsk region: 99.9% of residential buildings are connected to heat, as well as most hospitals, schools and kindergartens. Repair work has been completed in advance.
– Donetsk region: 149 out of 180 boiler houses are working, heat is supplied to residential buildings, schools and hospitals. Due to the security situation, the Pokrovsk community did not start the heating season. Installation of cogeneration units is ongoing, and 339 heat and water supply facilities are equipped with generators.

– Zhytomyr Region: All consumers receive heat, 926 boiler houses are in operation. Hospitals, schools and utilities are provided with alternative energy sources.
– Transcarpathian region: 1,306 boiler houses operate, providing heat to all homes and social institutions. Solar panels are installed in hospitals.
– Zaporizhzhia region: 181 out of 203 boiler houses are working. Cogeneration units for health care facilities have been installed.

– Ivano-Frankivsk region: All boiler houses are working. Some houses in Kalush receive heat slowly to avoid breakthroughs. In the city of Burshtyn, heat supply is provided stably.
– Kyiv region: The supply of heat to institutions of the social sphere is completed. There are about 6,000 generators in the community for utility companies, hospitals and places of compact residence for IDPs.
– Kirovohrad region: All 397 boiler houses are working, but 43 residential buildings, 2 kindergartens and 1 educational institution are not heated due to network breakdowns.
– Luhansk region: Humanitarian hubs and evacuated institutions provided with heat, in particular, a psycho-neurological boarding school in Chernivtsi region.
– Lviv region: The heating season is going on as usual, almost all critical infrastructure facilities are equipped with generators.
– Mykolayiv region: All boiler houses are working. The Energy Passport of the region and the generation development plan are being developed.
– Odesa region: Heat is supplied to residential buildings, social and medical institutions. 1,311 boiler houses operate in the region.
– Poltava Region: All social facilities are connected to heating, but the electricity deficit is 75.6% of the required amount.
– Rivne region: All infrastructure facilities are connected to heat. Four cogeneration plants have been put into operation.
– Sumy region: 99.4% of boiler houses are working. Due to the drone strikes, the heat supply was temporarily stopped in Shostka, but it has already been restored.
– Ternopil region: Heat is supplied to all houses and institutions. Cogeneration plants and solar power plants are being installed.
– Kharkiv region: The heating season continues in 48 out of 56 communities, but due to damage to the energy infrastructure, heat is not supplied in eight communities.
– Kherson region: 15% of residential buildings and almost half of educational institutions receive heating.
– Khmelnytskyi region: 727 boiler houses are in operation, repair of water supply and sewage networks has been completed.
– Cherkasy region: Heat is supplied to all houses and institutions. Gas and solid fuel boilers are used in the region.
– Chernivtsi region: Heat provides almost all infrastructure facilities. New cogeneration plants are being put into operation.
– Chernihiv region: All objects receive heat. New cogeneration units have been installed, some of which will be introduced in the near future.

Ukraine continues to work on ensuring heat and energy stability even in war conditions.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal explained how heating will be turned on in the regions this year. Connection dates will be determined by community authorities depending on weather conditions.

Problems with heating may arise in Kyiv due to blackouts in winter.
