As Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko reported, in the first such list, 112 premises are apartment buildings for shared living, hotel and office premises, and public leisure buildings located in various regions of Ukraine.
“By the end of January, the premises will be distributed among the bodies that take care of IDPs. We expect that people will be able to use this housing already in the first quarter of 2026,” the Prime Minister said.
According to her, the government also instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to review the objects that were not used as intended in the educational process during the last year. They will also be transferred to meet the needs of IDP resettlement. Previously, a mechanism was created to transfer such assets to new managers for 1 hryvnia.
“The next stage – within a month, all ministries, in coordination with state companies and OVA, as well as ARMA, should present to the government an additional list of objects that can be used for the needs of IDPs,” Svyridenko added.
Housing for IDPs – the latest newsIn September, the “eOselya” program, which allows you to buy housing with a mortgage at a large discount, was extended to include displaced persons. The program can be used by displaced persons and residents of the frontline territories who have a single dwelling located in the zone of active military operations or occupation.
The first mortgage payment (20% of the housing cost) is reimbursed by the state by 70%. 70% of the amount of monthly loan payments is also covered by compensation. In addition, 40,000 hryvnias are issued for related expenses, including bank commissions and insurance.
From December 1, internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories (TOTs), who have the status of a participant in hostilities or persons with disabilities as a result of the war, will be able to apply for a housing voucher worth 2 million hryvnias through Diya.
