In a conversation with Town and Country, the Spider-Man and Melancholy Star explained that her name should be pronounced as “Kir-Stan”, not “Chris Tit” or “Ker-Styin” as often said. Despite this, the 43-year-old actress confessed that she was already accustomed to mistakes and is not offended:
“Everyone is twisting my name, so I gave up. Let it be as it will be.”
Danst also shared unpleasant stories from the past. So, during the shooting of the Spider-Man in 2002, one of the producers without her consent sent Danst to the dentist to correct her teeth, but she refused, saying that they loved them as they are.
And after the movie premiere in London, the Sony Studio criticized her image in Rodartte’s black dress and dark lipstick, believing that he is “too gothic” for the main character.
