The 58-year-old Hollywood megastar became the first Black woman to win best actress at the Academy Awards back in 2002, and the Monster’s Ball star appeared on stage at the time in a now iconic Elie Saab gown.

The maroon dress featured a mesh torso with floral embroidery complete with a silk taffeta skirt, and she revived the ensemble this week for the fashion house’s 1,001st season celebration.

Wearing the same outfit, Halle described the first time she wore the outfit at the Oscars as a lifechanging moment.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘There are some moments in life that just happen and they change our lives forever! Winning an Academy Award in my Elie Saab gown was one of those moments for me.

‘Thank you Mr. Saab for being a part of the tapestry of my life as we have been inextricably connected for 22 years now! It was my honor to celebrate you and your 1001 seasons.’

Fans were in awe over her appearance (Picture: Steve Granitz/WireImage)Reddit user @Not_Steve wrote: ‘Wow is she glowing. She looks like she’s been working out! I never thought that dress would be timeless, but here she is, proving me wrong and looking super classy with a shear dress.’

Under her Instagram post, fellow star Kerry Washington simply wrote ‘iconic’ (she’s not wrong), while @mycheriessential commented: ‘Just as beautiful as the first time.’

‘Halle is keeping a big secret from us y’all, she discovered the fountain of youth and she’s keeping it to herself…Girl you need to share asap,’ wrote @shes_ice_on_fire2.

And @kuulei_220 said: ‘She never ages! Just glides through the aging process with grace and beauty! FACE CARD NEVER DECLINES!!!!! (sic)

She told Marie Claire: ‘Age is just a number that they stick on us at birth. I feel like I’m now at the pinnacle.’

Halle added her health regime includes a ‘cocktail of vitamins and supplements’, along with taking progesterone, testosterone and estriol, and she also has temperature therapy, using hot and cold treatments to reduce inflammation.

She’s still ‘miffed’ to be the only Black woman to win the prize (Picture: Timothy A. ‘I’m still eternally miffed that no Black woman has come behind me for that Best Actress Oscar, I’m continually saddened by that year after year,’ she added to the magazine.

‘And it’s certainly not because there has been nobody deserving.’
