Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, who have joined the protection of the country through recruitment centers of the Ukrainian army, are gaining wide access to educational opportunities.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs about it.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Brigade General of Justice Sergey Melnyk said that the defense department seeks to come to the forces of defense motivated and prepared people.

“The work of recruitment centers of the Ukrainian army plays an important role in this process. In them, citizens can receive comprehensive information about vacancies in defense forces, social guarantees, as well as the opportunities that they open their contract. Education is one of them, ”he said.

According to him, military service gives a chance to get higher education, professional military education, learn a foreign language, undergo training in NATO countries, and develop professionally, studying in advanced training courses.

Currently, the following rights and educational opportunities are available for the Ukrainian army, which Ukrainians are actively involved in recruiting centers:

  • choose a military profession and get career growth with personal wishes;
  • to enter into institutions of higher military education, higher military educational institutions and military educational units of higher education institutions, obtain a bachelor’s degree and a tactical level of military education;
  • enter the HEI, GNP of the HUD for obtaining the first level of higher education (bachelor) in a specialty related to civilian (without interruption from service) after signing the second contract;
  • to study foreign languages ​​for free;
  • to take a priority direction for training to NATO member state training centers (universities);
  • obtain the right to professional adaptation in case of dismissal from military service;
  • to undergo preparatory programs and advanced training and professional courses for obtaining new military specialties from training centers by the commander’s decision.

Members of the families of servicemen receive, among other things, the following social guarantees:

  • Children of servicemen have a priority right to enroll in general and preschool educational institutions and children’s health camps, regardless of ownership;
  • Members of families studying in public educational institutions can be transferred to public educational institutions, closest to a new place of residence or place of residence,
  • Members of families studying in public educational institutions have the opportunity to be transferred to training to places of state order (public expense) if they study at their own expense.

As reported by the Armyinform, the recruitment centers of the Ukrainian army continue to involve citizens in the ranks of defense forces. In January 2025, 5381 people approached the centers, which is almost 80% more than the average monthly average. In total, 38 117 citizens have received consultation since the beginning of the work of the centers.
