Danylo Hetmantsev put forward a proposal to grant the status of tax agents of Uklon, Uber and Bolt. This was reported by the Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, in an interview with “Interfax-Ukraine”. According to him, this approach will significantly facilitate the administration of taxation of users who sell goods and services through online platforms such as Uklon, Uber and Bolt. “It is better for administration by the state, it is easier for people, because a person will receive an income already after deducting the tax, which will be withheld by the platform and paid to the state budget,” Hetmantsev said. Advertisement: He also added that such income is proposed to be taxed at a reduced rate of 5%, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) also offers a simplified administration procedure – when the platform must act as a tax agent. At the same time, in the model developed by the Ministry of Finance, it was assumed that the platform should send data to the State Tax Service about individuals, and the individual should submit a declaration himself: declare these incomes, report to the state and pay taxes. “This implies the obligation for hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens to submit these declarations,” Hetmantsev explained. Therefore, in his opinion, the option of withholding taxes by the platforms themselves as tax agents is better.
