“After the liquidation of the bank began, the chairman of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev, intervened in the case. He demanded that the tax service impose fictitious fines on Concorde: first 400 million hryvnias, and later 10 billion hryvnias. Hetmantsev determined the amount of fines to be charged to Concorde ” even before the completion of the tax audit. The tax officials followed his instructions and tried to charge the bank 400 million hryvnias of a fine. They decided to tax banking services, which are exempt from VAT under the law,” said the video posted on Elena Sosyedka’s Facebook page.
At the same time, even the liquidator of the bank, appointed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, did not agree with such an illegal act of tax audit, the document was contested. Therefore, an additional inspection was scheduled, which, according to Elena and Yulia Sosedok, is still ongoing, although according to the legislation, it should have already been completed.
However, according to them, Hetmantsev is doing everything to delay the inspection and “find at least some grounds for charging huge fines.”
According to Elena and Yulia Sosedok, Hetmantse has a personal dislike for them, and therefore tries to destroy their life’s work. In particular, they recalled that the deputy publicly insulted them, calling them “non-Ukrainian”.
“His actions create a dangerous precedent for the banking sector of Ukraine. Even the liquidator of Concord, appointed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, is aware of this. He is ready to demand in the courts that the bank’s liquidation procedure be carried out in accordance with the law. Tomorrow, any other financial institution may find itself in such a situation This undermines confidence in regulators and threatens the stability of the country’s economy. Although Concorde cannot be returned to the market, its history is a lesson and a warning for of the entire financial system of Ukraine,” Olena and Yuliya Sosyedka warned in the video.
