About it reports Police of Kiev.
The incident became known to law enforcement officers in August this year, when a 42-year-old woman approached the Svyatoshinsky Police Department, who reported that she had been deceived by a friend.
37-year-old Kiev met with the widow of the defender in 2024. Upon learning that his acquaintance receives state payments for the dead man-serviceman, he used her trust.
“For half a year, he asked for money for loans and other needs, but spent all the money on entertainment and gambling”, – law enforcement officers say.
When the woman realized that the man was not going to return her money, she denied him in another request.
“After that, the attacker was indignant, came to the victim home and, threatening with a knife, forced her to list another 130 thousand hryvnias. During the whole time, the man was losing a woman worth about half a million hryvnias,” – The police said.
Law enforcement officers gathered the evidence and informed the offender about the suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Article 190 (2) (fraud, which caused significant damage to the victim) and part 4 of Article 189 (extortion, which caused property damage in particularly large amounts).
Up to twelve years of imprisonment with confiscation of property, the accused has threatened.
Earlier we told About a fraudster who had been exploring the missing family of the military through a post on a social network in Khmelnytskyi.
