He knocked Sinner out. The amateur became the One Point Slam champion and took A$1 million

Amateur tennis player Jordan Smith from Sydney became the champion of the exhibition tournament One Point Slamwhich took place on January 14 at the Rod Laver Arena – the central stadium.

On her way, Smith passed Laura Pigossi (WTA 200), Yannick Sinner (ATP 2), Amanda Anisimov (WTA 4), Pedro Martinez (ATP 71) and Joanna Garland (WTA 117).

Jordan earned one million Australian dollars (668,000 US dollars) for winning the One Point Slam.

One Point Slam is an exhibition tournament, the matches of which consist of one point. The right to serve was determined using the game “rock, scissors, paper”, without a second ball. By the way, Sinner couldn’t put the ball in play against Jordan.

Ukrainian tennis players did not participate in One Point Slam. And world ranking leader Carlos Alcaraz lost to Maria Sakkari in the third round.
