Sports director of the Catalan “Barcelona” Deku appreciated the idea of a possible signing of the legendary Argentinian striker of the American “Inter Miami” Lionel Messi:
“Leo Messi short-term loan? I don’t think it’s possible. Leo has a contract. I don’t think this option was ever discussed… Messi is always Messi, he always has something to offer, but we won’t talk about it now.”
So, despite all the numerous rumors, Messi’s return to “Barcelona” is not possible at the moment.
In 2025, Lionel Messi played 48 matches at the club level, scoring 43 goals and 24 assists. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his value at 18 million euros.
