The main contender: Liam Rosenor – the 41-year-old coach of the French “Strasbourg”, who leads the club in Ligue 1 of France and is considered the main candidate to replace Maresca at “Chelsea”.
According to insiders, the management of “Chelsea” highly appreciates the work of Rosenior, and his possible appointment is considered as one of the most likely options.
Other specialists are also named among the considered candidates, in particular Andoni Iraolu – the head coach of “Bournemouth”, who is also in the field of vision of the Londoners.
Enzo Maresca stepped down as Chelsea manager on 1 January 2026 following a period of tension within the club and a slump in Premier League results. An official decision on the new coach is expected to be announced in the coming days, possibly before the team’s next Premier League match.
Chelsea is 5th in the Premier League table with 30 points after 19 matches.
