“In Ukraine, more than 68.9 million tons of new grain and oilseeds have already been harvested on an area of 18.9 million hectares. In total, 49.9 million tons of grains and almost 19 million tons of oilseeds were harvested,” the statement said.
In particular, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy:
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 22.3 million tons were harvested;
- barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons;
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 470.4 thou tons were harvested;
- corn – 3.3 million hectares (or 83%) were harvested, with a harvest of 20.2 million tons;
- millet – 86.5 thou hectares (or 93%) were threshed, with 160.3 thou tons harvested;
- buckwheat – 87.8 thou hectares (or 99%) were threshed, and 127.2 thou tons were harvested;
- sunflower – 4.7 million hectares (or 95%) were harvested, and 9.7 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans – 2.5 million hectares (or 96%) were threshed, and 5.8 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- Rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 3.5 million tons of seeds were harvested.
In terms of gross grain harvest, farmers in Odesa region are reportedly leading with 4.4 million tons, Poltava region with 4.1 million tons, and Chernihiv region with 4 million tons. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 74.9 c/ha, Chernihiv region – 68.3 c/ha, and Bukovina – 66.5 c/ha.
Agrarians in 16 regions are harvesting sugar beet on an area of 223.2 thousand hectares, or 87%. They have harvested 10.7 million tons of sweet roots.
