The superstar revealed on Thursday that he is returning to the music scene for the first time in four years with the release of Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. The news has succeeded a teasing campaign with billboards and posters plastered around Europe, stating, “we belong together,” and “see you very soon.”
Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally was produced by Kid Harpoon, the British songwriter and producer who has worked on all of Styles’ previous albums.
Styles’ website already shows merchandise for the new album, including Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally fanny packs, cameras, cassettes and vinyls. The site reportedly crashed when the news was made public at 9 am PT.
Styles flew to fame as a member of One Direction before breaking out on his own and releasing a solo album in 2017, Harry Styles. This was followed by Fine Line in 2019 and Harry’s House in 2022, catapulting the singer to glory with hits like “Sign of the Times,” “Lights Up,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “As It Was.”
The upcoming album marks his first return to music since the death of his fellow One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who died on Oct. 16, 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Styles wrote at the time that “it was an honor to be alongside” Payne whose “greatest joy was to make other people happy.” He later added the star’s UK funeral alongside Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.
