Half of the participants in the 1/4 finals of the Australian Open 2025 have been announced

On January 19, the 2025 Australian Open saw the round of 16 matches in the top section of the women’s draw.

The third racket of the world Coco Goff beat 2020 Olympic champion Belinda Bencic in three sets.

For the 20-year-old American, this will be the eighth quarterfinal at the major level. In Melbourne, her best result is the semi-final stage last year.

Next, Coco will play against the Spaniard Paula Badosawho won from Olga Danylovych. Badosa made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open for the first time in her career and will play at this stage for the third time at Grand Slam tournaments (Roland Garros 2021, US Open 2024).

Arina Sobolenko and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will meet in another quarter-final clash in the upper part of the grid.
