In Germany, in the city of Magdeburg, a car drove into a crowd of people at a Christmas market.
According to the local publication MDR, there is at least one dead and several injured, the alleged driver of the car has been detained.
A spokesman for the local rescue service did not confirm the death toll with AFP, but said between 60 and 80 people were injured. Bild provides the same data about the victims.
Saxony-Anhalt state government official Matthias Schuppe said it was “probably an attack.”
This is not the first such case in Germany. At the end of 2016, a truck drove into a crowd at a Christmas market in Berlin. Then at least 12 people became victims, and about 50 more were injured.
