German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius emphasized the importance of helping Ukraine, “first of all, to repel numerous Russian air attacks.”

According to the publication, the package will include about 50 items – ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, about 20 Marder BMPs, reconnaissance and attack drones, spare parts for already transferred weapons systems. According to an internal document, the projects should be “mainly implemented this year.”
As the newspaper reported, the financing is planned to be carried out according to a mixed scheme – the Ministry of Defense of Germany plans to provide 397 million euros from its own budget, another 1 billion euros was attracted by Germany from partners in Europe and the world to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
