General Staff: There were 156 battles on the front in the front, 44 in the Pokrovsky direction

156 combat clashes were recorded at the front during the last day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summary. The most clashes were in the Pokrovsky direction.

“Our defenders stopped 44 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements Elizabeth, Transfiguration, Andreevka, Stara Nikolaev, Lisivka, Kotline, Novooleksandrivka, Nadivka and towards Mirolyubivka, Malynivka, Romanivka,” the statement reads.

In addition, according to the General Staff, 30 assault actions of the Russian troops stopped the Ukrainian forces in the Kursk direction.

The fighting also lasted at Kupyansk, Lyman, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky, Orikhiv, Dnieper.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

On the evening of April 24, the Deepstate project reported that the Russian army advanced south of Konstantinovka – near the villages of Berezivka and Tarasivka, and also seized the village of Kalinovo. The promotion took place east of Pokrovsk, near the highways of Pokrovsk – Konstantinovka and Donetsk – Konstantinovka. From here to the city, which many military analysts call Russia’s main goal this summer, the aggressor remains about 18 kilometers.
