Almost four out of 10 Ukrainians (38%) believe that their country should continue to fight until victory.”
Details: The institute noted that the current situation is radically different from 2022, when a poll conducted a few months after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion showed that Ukrainians were determined: 73% preferred to fight to victory.
A significant part of those who advocate a quick end to the war believe that Ukraine should be ready to cede part of the territory in exchange for peace.
“More than half of this group (52%) agrees that Ukraine should be open to some territorial concessions as part of a peace deal to end the war, while 38% disagree and another 10% do not know. Gallup did not put more detailed questions about the level of territorial concessions that people would be willing to make,” the message said.
The results are obtained on the basis of the latest Gallup polls in Ukraine. In 2023 and 2024, some occupied territories under Russian control were excluded from the study due to the lack of coverage by Ukrainian mobile operators. These areas represent approximately 10% to 12% of the population.
