Fuel oil from Russian Volgoneft tankers sunk in the Black Sea reached the north-eastern coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea, in particular Feodosia, Alushta and Sudak.
This was reported by the Center for Combating Disinformation (CCP), referring to satellite images that confirm that the oil slick has reached the specified areas.
The beaches of Sevastopol are also polluted. The real scale of the consequences of this disaster is much greater. Fuel oil that has sunk in cold water can rise to the surface again during storms or when the water warms.
The CPD notes that the occupation authorities continue to claim that the situation is under control, but this only complicates the solution to the problem.
We also wrote that, according to the Navy of Ukraine, the Russian tankers with oil products were old and, moreover, went out to sea without complying with shipping requirements.
Oil products, which leaked after the accident of Russian tankers in the Kerch Strait, are already being recorded on the southern coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
