The court sentenced two members of the FSB agent network, who in the spring of 2025 were preparing a safe route for the entry of enemy sabotage and intelligence groups from the Bryansk region deep into the territory of Sumy Oblast.

The main organizer was a 60-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation who lived in Ukraine and was recruited through relatives in Russia. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison, taking into account the previous crimes of spreading Kremlin propaganda. He involved his 61-year-old neighbor, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison, to carry out the tasks of the enemy.
The perpetrators were detained at a checkpoint after conducting reconnaissance near a strategic military facility. Under the guise of fishing trips, they toured the border areas, collecting the coordinates of command posts and deployment locations of the Defense Forces. The citizen of the Russian Federation transmitted the collected data to his curator in the form of voice messages. Both agents were found guilty of encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, unauthorized dissemination of information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
We will remind that in November 2025 Kyiv law enforcement officers reported about the suspicion of a 21-year-old resident of the capital, who, being delusional, set fire to the “Ukrposhta” post office on Yuriy Ilyenka Street.
Earlier, the Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, detained a Russian agent in the ranks of the Armed Forces. He turned out to be a man mobilized from the Dnipro, who provided the enemy with data for adjusting airstrikes.
