Investigation identified the identity of a group participant who was engaged in the search for vulnerability in the networks of the world’s leading companies. He was wanted by the FBI for a number of accusations.
The attacker was a citizen of an unnamed foreign state who lived in Kiev. He was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers on behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office. On June 18, the court was handed over by the court.
The participants of the hacking group were identified in 2023 thanks to the investigation with the participation of the Cyber Police of Ukraine and law enforcement officers from Norway, France, Germany and the USA.
Since 2018, the attackers have used viruses-rapists for more than 1000 business servers in Europe and North America. For unlock data, they demanded a ransom in cryptocurrencies. Then the total hackers were estimated at $ 82 million.
