Skull and bone – meaning and historyThe Student Brotherhood of Skull and Bone was founded in 1832 by students at the University of Yale. However, even at the dawn of its existence, only the best of the best – the real elite could enter there.
15 high school students, who are selected by the following indicators:
- influence;
- intelligence;
- connections;
- Leadership qualities.
The symbol of the club is the skull and crossed bones (reminiscent of a pirate flag), under which the numbers 322 are written. The members of the organization are called “bones”. Their meetings and the dedication ceremony are held in a closed building called the “tomb”.
There are many rumors around the fraternity about secret rites, mysticism, oaths and Freemasons. At the same time, information about the inner life of the club is strictly classified. All these rumors even inspired Hollywood bosses to create a triver of “skull”.
By whom the members of “skull and bones” becameSkull and bones are the Society of Presidents, Senators and many influential people. Membership in the brotherhood opens the door to a powerful network from all former members of the company – politicians, bankers, lawyers, business figures.
