The French company CNIM SYSTèmes Industries in collaboration with Estonian Milrem Robotics will hand over 6 ROCUS -based rocza systems based on TheMIS platform for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). This is stated in the official press release of Milrem Robotics.
“We are proud of continuing to support Ukraine in the framework of CNIM SYSTèmes Industries. The Milrem Robotics Senior Koldar Vyaers, Milrem Robotics
The French Rocus system integrates a special CNIM demining module on Themis Estonian platform, which is a tracked autonomous terrestrial vehicle. Due to remote management, operators can perform work on cleaning areas from explosive objects without risking themselves.
Themis platform is equipped with sensors and cameras to identify mines and other threats, and the demining module can safely neutralize them. The system is capable of working in difficult conditions, such as rough terrain or destruction, which makes it indispensable for the restoration of infrastructure.
Currently, Ukraine has already received 15 TheMIS platforms, including the first 7 Rocus units, delivered in 2022. New machines will help ensure safe access to roads, agricultural lands and help restore communities affected by hostilities. The SES will be the main operator of these systems, using them for humanitarian demining and restoration of territories.
