France agreed to speed up the delivery of Mirage fighters to Ukraine, as well as to help strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this in Telegram after talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Zelensky thanked France for its readiness to provide comprehensive defense support, including speeding up the transfer of aircraft and assistance in strengthening air defense. The leaders also discussed the importance of inviting Ukraine to NATO, expanding the long-range capabilities of the Ukrainian military, and continuing the training and equipping of Ukrainian brigades.

The Ukrainian president emphasized the key role of international support in countering Russian aggression and bringing peace closer.

Earlier we wrote that the French Mirage 2000 multipurpose aircraft are effective machines, but they do not compensate for Ukraine’s F-16.

Also, let us remind you that the General Staff of the Greek Air Force is looking for a buyer willing to purchase 18 fourth-generation Dassault Mirage 2000EGM/BGM multirole fighters that have served the 332nd Hawk Squadron for more than 30 years.
