In Kiev, four minors are suspected of hooliganism after a loud incident that occurred on April 18 in the Hydropark.
According to the investigation, three 17-year-old boys and their 15-year-old friend provoked a conflict with a serviceman who was in the capital on vacation. According to eyewitnesses, teenagers initially argued with other men, but later switched their aggression to the military, which served in the National Guard.
The clash took place in a public place and was recorded on a video of passers -by. The footage shows how four boys in the presence of several girls attack a man in military uniform, causing him hands and feet.
The injured serviceman was provided with medical care, but the details of his condition are not disclosed.
After the incident, the police quickly detained two 17-year-old fighting, and subsequently identified two more attackers.
Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Dniprovsky District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv, all four teenagers were informed of suspicion of “hooliganism committed by a group of persons” – is part two of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the current legislation, such actions are punishable by restrictions for up to five years or imprisonment for up to four years.
In this case, hooliganism is defined as a gross violation of public order on the grounds of explicit disrespect for society, which is accompanied by special boldness or exceptional cynicism.
Currently, the pre -trial investigation is ongoing, and the court has already been sent to the court for the election of a suspected precautionary measure in the form of house arrest.
Law enforcement officers emphasize that such cases are a serious challenge for society, because it is not only about physical violence, but also about demonstrative disdain for law and moral norms.
We will remind, law enforcement officers of the Nikolaev area opened criminal proceedings due to the beating of a 50-year-old man by teenagers, which was recorded on video and posted on the network.
We also reported that in the village of Sofiyivska Borschagivka, which near Kiev, on January 25, teenagers committed a boy’s beating.
