It is noted that a residential building in the village of Pisochyn was occupied on the morning of November 14. Firefighters found the bodies of five dead people on the fire: four siblings aged 4 to 9 and their 52-year-old grandfather. Among everyone who was in the house, only a 16-year-old boy survived.
According to the investigation, the defendant, who is the mother of four boys, left her children on November 9 with her 52-year-old father, who had been ill for a long time, and her 16-year-old brother. That day, the woman left for “her own business”, but never returned. As a result of malicious failure to fulfill his parental duties to care for minor children, including leaving them without any supervision, frivolity and indifference to their fate, there were grave consequences in the form of the death of her sons, who were in the house,
The investigation established that the fire probably started due to the operation of electric heaters.
A 29-year-old woman was charged with maliciously failing to fulfill her statutory duties to care for children, which resulted in serious consequences (Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
