On June 1, a charity football match was held in Kyiv between the Army Aviation of Ukraine and the Ignis Media Football Club, a team that unites Ukrainian football legends, cultural figures, famous personalities and conducts active social activity. The event dedicated to the Day of Protection of Children has become a public start of a fundraising campaign for the provision of army aviation combat brigades – as well as a symbolic act of memory and support for families of fallen pilots.
The match was initiated by the Ogortag Charitable Foundation with the support of the General Partner of FC Dynamo (Kyiv), as well as, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Defense Ukraine, the National Network of the Epicenter, National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and Ukrainian Miltech-Company.
“When the children came along with pilots, it was difficult to hold back emotions. This is a reminder: we will not be able to return those who have not returned from the sky. But we can make the memory of living in action. It is for this purpose that the “Ogortag” was created – to wrap with care as wings. And to collect the most necessary for those who keep our sky every day ”

The event opened a performance of the orchestra of 59 – a musical team of combat units, created within the platform cultural forces. Cultural forces. Together with the players, the children of the dead pilots came to the field. The National Anthem of Ukraine was performed by Vivienne Mort accompanied by an orchestra.
The match was attended by military personnel from the 12th, 16th, 18th and 11th brigades of army aviation-Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters’ pilots, storms, equipment and aircraft provisions who perform combat missions daily in the hottest sections of the front.
Colonel Pavel Bardakov, Deputy Chief of the KMVA Igor Reva and Vice -Cresident of the NOC of Ukraine Oleksandr Krykun came to support the initiative.

Army aviation fighters who took part in the memory tournament were able not only to honor the brothers who gave their lives for Ukraine, but also to feel the comrade’s shoulder again, the warmth of support and the joy of the game. A special moment was a meeting on the field with the idols of childhood – the stars of Ukrainian football, and the serviceman of army aviation Roman shared.
“The main purpose of today’s event was to honor the memory of our dead brothers. It was a football holiday, but with a bitter taste of loss. Among those present were children and parents of the dead, many of whom we knew personally. It is difficult, but such measures should be carried out more often, because the characters are alive while we remember them. We only conducted one workout the day before, because most came just a day before the match. I want to give gratitude to the command for the opportunity to take part in such a match. From childhood, I have been cheering for Dynamo Kyiv and did not even dream of going to one field with legends such as Alexander Aliyev and Artem Milevsky. Although Alexander Aliyev did not participate in the match, it was very nice that he came to greet us “

For the IGNIS Media Football Club, it was a honor to play with the Ukrainian military, said Vladislav Adamovich, Dynamo’s PR-director of the Dynamo Football Club, co-owner of the Ignis Club and co-founder of the Ukrainian football media.
“The organizers have ambitious goals – to raise about five million hryvnias a month, and we decided to help. When Dynamo Kyiv asked to help organize a charity match, the club immediately agreed. And then they began to think how to do it safe. After all, 20 combat pilots in one place is a great risk, because they are literally hunted. Ignis also joined immediately – for our players it was honor to play with the defenders! We played in format 9 by 9, changed the rules directly during the game, so that the match was as emotional and interesting for the audience and for the military – they cabbage from each ball. Mediafutball began to grow precisely during a full -scale invasion. This is a unique phenomenon that combined new values and we have collected a wide audience around us. Funds activated within the match are ongoing. Its purpose is to raise UAH 5 million to provide army aviation. All the funds raised will go to the purchase of equipment for crews, communications, technical support of flights and unmanned solutions and will be divided into official accounts of parts.
Regardless of the account, those who united for the sake of memory and support of those who protect Ukraine from heaven won.
